Self-Care for Baddies

When it comes to self-care how much someone invests in themselves is crucial.  Nowadays, self-care is a trending buzz phrase. You might be slightly annoyed because you've participated in self-care products, only to feel the same the very next day. 

The idea is to do a regimen of self-care exercises that you can use to your benefit. Below I have featured a few exercises that have calmed my nerves on the worst day:

Self-Care Day 1: Dance

What You'll Need

  1. Kick Ass Music
  2. Loose outfit, belly dance skirt or nudity (if you're really feeling good)
  3. Water for hydration
  4. Mirror

Directions: While dancing, try different facial expressions or flirting with yourself in the mirror while dancing. Flirting with yourself builds your seduction repretoire.

Self-Care Day 2: Do A Face Mask

What You'll Need: Bentonite Clay Mask - Cleanse

  1. 1 part Bentonite Clay
  2. 1 part Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
  3. 1 part Optional: Aloe Vera Gel (will make it a bit clumpy), sea moss, activated charcoal
  4. Bowl and your fingers to blend

Directions: Whisk all ingredients together until clumps disappear, apply and allow your mask to dry. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow up with the Turmeric, Honey & Yogurt Mask. 

What You'll Need: Turmeric, Honey & Yogurt Mask - Replenish  

  1. 1 tsp Organic ground Turmeric
  2. 1 tsp Raw honey 
  3. 1 tsp Organic plain yogurt 
  4. Bowl and fork to blend

Directions: First, heat up your honey to the consistency of syrup.  Afterwards, stir the cooled honey into yogurt. Followed by two heaps of turmeric.  Blend well. Apply and allow to dry. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Self-Care Day 3: Bathing 

What You'll Need: 

  1. Bath Bombs
  2. Carrier Oil (Grapeseed, Apricot or Almond)
  3. Essential Oils  (Lavender or Bergamot)
  4. Salts (Epsom, Dead Sea or Himalayan)
  5. Optional: Candles, Incense, Music, Wine for ambiance

Directions: First, run the water slightly hotter than usual. No one wants to soak in semi-cold water. Then, drop in your bath bomb, followed by your carrier oil and essential oils. Lastly, 2 cups of your salt. If you want to do each salt, then a cup each should suffice. Singularly, two cups for salt. 


Self Care Day 4: Procure some flowers and/or plants for your environment

What You'll Need:

  1. Plants or flowers
  2. Vase
  3. Plant Food
  4. Optional: Soil and pots for plants

Self-Care Day 5: Painting/Drawing

What You'll Need: 

  1. Canvas
  2. Acrylic colors
  3. Brushes
  4. Water
  5. Optional: Easel, Wine and Music 

Directions: The best policy is to let your paintbrush dance across the canvas. This means choose colors that resinate with your mood and streak them on canvas.  You don't need to know how to draw or plan, your main concern is expressing your feeling through brush strokes. When you are satisfied, stop. 

Or Ask Bob. 

At the end of the week revisit your state of mind, journal or record your thoughts. Self-care week is important because you are important. By taking good care of yourself, you are able to be the best person you can be. You receive love, because your created love for yourself first.
