Spring 2017 Shoe Trends: Disco, Sports and Wraps...oh my!

I tend to use trends as a type of forecasting and what's to be expected in fashion temporarily. As of recently a few trends were spotted through the fashion runway circuit. Trends such as disco platforms, sporting shoes, a scrappy ankle shoes. 

Platforms, more specifically "flatforms" are comfortable. I know the sound of comfortable in the shoe world can be a bit of a buzzkill, but in the case of "flatforms" it's the main attraction. The comfort of a flat, elevated sole supported a modern day design has buyers thinking differently about this trend.

Next the sporty look meets everyday the women. Although I'm not the sporty type I can certainly get into the spirit of it. This brings me back to a scene in the movie Clueless, when the girls were waiting in line during Physical Education class.  

Wraps and straps are amongst the trends of 2017. Straps and wraps gives the foot support and plays with the idea of sensuality, hence the strapping. It transitions great from work to date night.
