New Shoes Alert!
It's the rarest of occasion that I find a stunning pair of sexy--not necessarily comfortable--platform shoes. These ladylike stunners are one of my favorite structurally. I'm a sucker for an ankle strap stiletto sandal. My cool Calvin Klein's are a blushing nude suede with bronze metallic buckle strap. Did I mention that I bought them from Macy's? Good find.
Let me start with the pros:
- The shoe is a neutral meaning it can be worn with many different looks in your closet. With that being said, I can get tons of use out of them.
- It's a simple design, but has a casual vibe to it. I love shoes that can complement casual street clothing and also be worn after five for cocktail hour. These shoes are the epitome of transitional shoe.
- They make my foot appear smaller. I believe it to be the pitch of the shoe that gives an illusion of a smaller foot. The pitch determines the arch and height of the shoe. From the naked eye it would appear to be the arch of the foot. As a result, making my shoe appear smaller.
The Cons:
- They. hurt. The strap across the toes caused the most pain.
- They are a bit high for my taste. The shoes are about 5 inches and for that's a bit ambitious for NY.
- I don't think the heel is sturdy enough for my body, thus making it hard to balance on the stiletto.
Overall, the shoe was $150 with tax included. Pretty sweet!
